AT 309 Week 7 - Advanced UAS Sensor Mapping
October 4th, 2024
Purdue Turf Farm
This week, we took out the DJI M300s with a variety of sensors to do multiple scans of the area we've focused on for the past few labs. The lab was for demonstration purposes, some people flew but most of us watched as We used a Zenmuse P1 (RGB camera with RTK correction), Zenmuse H20T (Thermal with RTK correction), Sony A7 (RGB camera with PPK correction and base stations), and a Micasense Rededge (Multispectral with PPK correction and base stations). My metadata is incomplete at this point. We were told we would be able to find the info on the flights somewhere, however I have been unable to locate these. I imagine I'll be able to fill in the rest when we process the data, but I'll have to wait until then.
Weather: 60 degrees Fahrenheit, scattered cloud cover that shifted into overcast over the course of the demonstration, 0-5 mph winds
Site Conditions: operating over the parking lots and PTF building, moderate activity from PTF workers
Potential Hazards: Multiple PTF workers present.
